Jahon news agency reported that representatives of ministries and departments, as well as business circles of France, as well as delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan participated at the event.

Representatives of over 30 French companies received information on perspectives of working in Uzbekistan.

MEDEF Vice-President Thierry Courtaigne briefed the participants on activities of MEDEEF on promotion of trade partnership between France and Uzbekistan. He said that French interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan and following reforms in the country with great interest.

Thierry Courtaigne said the French companies are interested in participation in modernization of industry of Uzbekistan, privatization progremme, implementation of investment projects, etc.

At the event, the French businesses familiarized with investment and tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan.

It was noted that Uzbekistan has attracted over US$100 billion of investments during independence years, of which US$35 billion – foreign investments. Currently, over 3,500 joint ventures and foreign companies work in Uzbekistan.

During the event, information on Navoi free industrial and economic zone and Angren special zone have been presented.
