Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a number of meetings with Japanese officials.

The head of the foreign policy department held a meeting with the vice-president of the Liberal Democratic Party, chairman of the League of Friendship with Uzbekistan in the Japanese parliament, Taro Aso.

“Undoubtedly, public diplomacy plays a key role in bringing our countries closer together. We express our gratitude to Mr. Aso and his team for their constant support in developing cooperation in all areas,” noted Bakhtiyor Saidov.

The minister noted that Uzbekistan is interested in introducing Japan’s advanced experience and technologies into our economy.

“Together with Saito Tetsuo, the Minister of Land Resources, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, we held a fruitful meeting on expanding cooperation between our two countries in various fields,” the Foreign Minister wrote on his Telegram channel.
