Uzbekistan plans to produce 10,000 tonnes of fish in 2007 against 7,200 tonnes in 2006, UzA reported.

The report said over 800,000 hectares can be used to fish-breeding. Currently, eight regions of Uzbekistan engaged in fish-breeding.
