Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance with a delegation of the French company Veolia Environment, headed by Malika Genduri, Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe.

The main topic of discussion was the concept of the project on delegating heat supply systems for management in Tashkent to “Veolia Environment”, as part of a public-private partnership.

The predisposes the modernization and development of the urban heat supply system to the level of international technical and environmental standards, as well as the implementation of modern information systems for accounting the generated and realized energy resources.

“Veolia Environnement” is a French diversified company based in Paris. It specializes in four areas of activity: supply and purification of water, public utilities, energy and transportation services. The company is one of the leaders in the field of optimization of resource management with over 160 years of experience in the industry.

At the end of the meeting, the company “Veolia Environment” presented to the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the khokimiyat of Tashkent the concept of the agreement, which includes the feasibility study for the project.
