Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 April, the Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov with the staff of the Office for International Ratings and Indexes of the Ministry of Finance met with public policy advisers to the British analytical structure of The Economist Intelligence Unit Umberto Moreno and Metus Samellar.

During the meeting, the sides discussed positive changes in the position of Uzbekistan in international rankings and indexes over the past two years, as well as issues that should be considered in the future.

In particular, the experts of The Economist Intelligence Unit put forward a number of proposals to further improve the performance of our country in such international ratings as the Management Indicators and the Doing Business of the World Bank, the Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum. 

Also, the sides reached a preliminary agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the British structure on establishing cooperation in working with international ratings and indices.
