Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 April 2019, the Ministry of Finance hosted a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov and students of the London School of Economics (UK), dedicated to the reforms of recent years in Uzbekistan and the current reforms in the country's financial system.

According to information service of the Ministry of Finance, the meeting was held in the spirit of open communication. Odilbek Isakov presented information on the receipt by the republic of the first international sovereign credit rating and the debut placement of sovereign bonds in the global financial markets.

It was recalled that Uzbekistan Eurobonds were recently successfully issued on the London Stock Exchange. Attention of students turned to plans for the further placement of international bonds and their types.

The staff of the Ministry of Finance responded in detail to questions about the monetary policy of Uzbekistan, trends in the development of the domestic capital market and the management system of enterprises with a share of state ownership, as well as changes in the pension and tax systems.
