Uzbek Finance Ministry attracts loan of French bank
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan and France’s Natixis signed a loan agreement, which will be directed to rehabilitate pump stations in Navoi and Uchkara, French Embassy in Tashkent said in a statement.
The embassy said that the Government of Uzbekistan requested France to assist within trade and technical assistance through concessive loan to developing states.
The loan for 15 million euros will help to purchase French goods and services for rehabilitation of two pump stations, which provides water of preliminary irrigation channels in Navoi (16,000 hectares of irrigated lands) and in Uchkara (7,500 hectares).
The embassy said that rehabilitation of pump stations meets social necessity as it ensures economic life of two districts.
