Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 February, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Timur Ishmetov met with representatives of Sberbank, headed by Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Anatoliy Popov, to discuss issues of interaction with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation conducted a presentation on Sberbank ecosystem, as well as the Group's current interaction with financial institutions and business communities in the CIS countries, in particular, Sberbank's partnership within the framework of the implementation of the “Digital Uzbekistan-2030” strategy. It was noted that today Sberbank interacts with 19 banks of Uzbekistan, 13 profile ministries and organizations, as well as 5 educational and research institutes.
In turn, the Uzbek side informed the representatives of Sberbank on the Strategy for reforming the banking system of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2025, as well as the measures assigned within the strategy for the transformation and privatization of banks with the participation of the state.
In conclusion, the representatives of Sberbank PJSC expressed high interest and readiness in expanding cooperation with the departments of Uzbekistan, in particular, by further studying the issues and areas within which interaction with ecosystem solutions of Sberbank can be established.
