Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 November, in the format of a video conference, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Timur Ishmetov met with the adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on economic development, effective management and international cooperation Suma Chakrabarti, during which urgent issues in priority areas of cooperation and a number of reforms proposed for implementation were discussed.

The event was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Finance Omonullo Nasritdinkhodjaev, Deputy Minister of Finance Akhadbek Khaidarov, Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov and other responsible officials of the Ministry.

Parties discussed the key directions of the reform program in such sectors as the progress of reforms in various sectors of the economy, communication at the local and international level, development of strategies and reforms in the spheres of privatization and the banking sector.

In conclusion, the parties agreed on regular and close cooperation in discussing urgent tasks, developing and implementing measures within the framework of the reform program.
