Uzbekistan, neighbor of Afghanistan, is interested in stable development of its economy and rehabilitation of direction of life of the country, Askarov said.
He recalled that in September in his speech at MDG Summit, Uzbek President Islam Karimov paid special attention to situation in Afghanistan. Uzbek leader said that it is necessary to search for peaceful and alternative ways of achievement of peace and stability in Afghanistan. In this connection, Uzbekistan offered to create contact group 6+3 under aegis of the UN, including all six neighboring states with Afghanistan, the US, Russia and NATO.
The Uzbek envoy said important goal of Contact Group 6+3 is to offer conflicting sides programme on ending military actions in Afghanistan, find compromise solutions on main key problems and contradictions, segregating the country, ensure security and provide necessary guarantees.
He underline that achievement of goals on disarmament and ensuring security in regional and global scale will depend from fast stabilization of situation in the country, where conflicts remain and are source for illegal weapon, drug, terrorism, extremism and other threat spread.
Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan expressed his assurance that achievement of stability in Afghanistan will help to solve sustainable development problem in Southern and Central Asia.
