Uzbek envoy hands over credentials to Spanish King

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Spain Gulnara Karimova handed over credentials to the Spanish King Juan Carlos I on 18 March.
Gulnara Karimova was appointed as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Spain in January 2010.
She is also Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations at Geneva.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Spain fell from US$20.4 million in 2008 to US$13.1 million in 2009. Export of Uzbekistan grew from US$3.2 million in 2008 to US$3.3 million, while imports slipped from US$17.2 million to US$9.9 million.
