Uzbek envoy hands over credentials to Belgian King
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belgium Bakhtiyor Gulyamov handed over credential to the Belgian King Albert II, Jahon news agency reported.
The sides discussed issues of current state and perspectives of relations between Uzbekistan and Belgium in political and trade-economic spheres.
The sides underlined that there is great potential for deepening and expanding bilateral cooperation, boosting political and economic contacts, development cultural ties and tourism.
Albert II expressed his sincere wishes and success to the Uzbek President Islam Karimov and people of Uzbekistan.
According to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belgium decreased from US$58.9 million in 2008 to US$55.7 million in 2009.
