Employees of the Health Ministry, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources and representatives from regions took part in the exercise alongside employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The purpose of holding the exercise was to boost specialists’ professional skills and to improve the quality of measures aimed at preventing these infectious diseases from entering the country.

Cases of swine flu and Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever reported in neighboring countries prompted Uzbekistan to take preventive measures.
