The report said the gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan will increase by 5% in 2010 to 6.5% in 2011.
The World Bank said Uzbekistan generated record double-digit surpluses in net exports of 16.2% of GDP in 2008. In 2009, Uzbekistan’s current account surplus is projected to shrink to 11.8% of GDP, the report noted.
However, the report said that current account surplus will rose to 15.2% in 2010 and fall to 13.6% in 2011.
