Uzbek economy, investment climate presented in USA
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Embassy of Uzbekistan in the USA in cooperation with the Eurasian Business and Research Center held a presentation of economic potential and investment climate of Uzbekistan within the business conference “USA-Eurasia” in Omaha, Nebraska.

About 200 companies of Nebraska state, Omaha city, departments, business and scientific circles of the USA, diplomatic missions of foreign states participated at the presentation. A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan also participated at the event.

Jahon news agency reported that representatives of the US companies noted advantages of modern economy of Uzbekistan – rich resource base, beneficial geographic location in the center of largest regional markets, development of transport-logistic system, diversified industrial base, scientific-intellectual and personal potential of Uzbekistan, and etc.

Senior advisor on Caucasus and Central Asia of Commerce Department Danica Starks underlined perspective direction of investment in Uzbekistan are automobile industry, food production and development of natural resources. She called American companies to study these spheres for possible investment.

Praising conditions created for investors in Uzbekistan, Reinke President Chris Roth expressed interest in implementation of projects on introduction of automated irrigation systems in Uzbekistan.

President of Burlington Capital Group Robert Peyton expressed interest in food production interest and he said that his company has great experience in implementation of investment projects in various countries. He said that the company plans to study opportunities on implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan.

Sales director of Chief Mitchell said that the company is interested in establishing business relations with Uzbekistan as one of the largest grain producer. Mitchell said the company is leader on production of metal systems for grain storage and it is ready to share technologies with partners in Uzbekistan.
