A joint project on training of Uzbek medical specialists was conducted within the memorandum of cooperation, signed between “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association and Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TİKA) office in Uzbekistan in July 2012.

“In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association, since its launch, has been engaged in improving skills of medical specialists, who work with breast-cancer patients. Uzbek doctors undergo various courses with participation of the US, Israeli and Russian specialists.

From 16 December 2012 to 16 February 2013, some ten young mammalogy specialists from Uzbekistan are participating in trainings in Ankara.

The group includes doctors from Karakalpakstan, Khorezm region, Navoi region, Bukhara region, Andijan region, Namangan region, Ferghana region and Tashkent region. During the training, they are improving skills and exchange experience with Turkish colleagues.

The training includes work in groups of two persons and local professor is supervising their works. Uzbek specialists also are participating in operations, examinations and consultations of patients.
