Uzbek director’s film wins international film festival

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbek film Evrilish was presented at the XXVII Busan International Film Festival. The film, created by the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan and the Play this studio, was recognized as the best in the KIM Jiseok Award nomination.

Busan International Film Festival is the largest film festival in Asia, held annually in the South Korean city of Busan since 1996.

The plot of the film is based on the example of the fate of the Uzbek hero, his emotional experiences and how back in Soviet times, being drafted into the ranks of the Soviet army, he finds himself in the center of hostilities.

The war changes his life and the lives of those around him. After many years, having already gained prosperity, having gone through many vicissitudes of life, the hero returns to his homeland, to Uzbekistan.

According to the information service of the Cinematography Agency, the shooting of the film took place in Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Egypt and the UK.

Film scriptwriter and director is Yolkin Tuychiev, film producer - Avazkhon Tadjikhonov, cameraman Rustam Murodov, production designer Bektosh Radjabov, film director Shokir Nabiev.

The cast included Olmas Uraev, Bakhrom Matchonov, Botir Abdurakhmonov, Jurabek Arziev, Ilmira Rakhimdjanova, Yulduz Radjabova, Igor Bukhaidze, Evgeny Moskvichev and others.
