Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou held a meeting with Cheng Xijin, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee of the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, they discussed the results of the 24th CIFIT, held on September 8-9 in Xiamen, which saw the participation of representatives from Uzbekistan. They also explored future opportunities for implementing mutually beneficial agreements through Uzbekistan’s active involvement in upcoming events.

“Participation from the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade, delegations from Andijan and Syrdarya regions, as well as staff from Uzbekistan’s Consulate General at CIFIT this year, along with the establishment of the Uzbek pavilion showcasing your country’s investment and export potential, demonstrated proactive efforts in expanding interregional cooperation and attracting investments. Many participants gained valuable information about Uzbekistan’s entrepreneurial and tourism potential,” noted Cheng Xijin.

Both parties agreed on continued participation by Uzbekistan’s ministries and regions at CIFIT fairs in 2025 and 2026, the provision of necessary support for the Uzbek pavilion, and the organization of further joint events.
