Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 December 2019, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dilshod Akhatov met with Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) Mohammad Reza Majidi.

Mohammad Reza Majidi noted the good organization of the voting process in the Parliamentary Elections. It was noted that active participation in voters’ elections is proof of public support for the policy of strengthening the role of representative bodies in political life of the country and socio-economic issues.

The parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening cooperation between the new Parliament of Uzbekistan and the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

Practical issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and APA were also discussed at the meeting.
