Uzbekistan 14/04/2011 Uzbek Deputy FM visits Belarusian Embassy in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Islamov paid a visit to the Embassy of Belarus in Tashkent on 13 April 2011, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said in a statement.

During the visit, the Uzbek Minister handed over letter of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov to his counterpart Aleksander Lukashenko with condolences in connection with terrorism act at Oktyabrskaya underground station in Minsk. He also left the records at the Condolences Book.

As earlier reported, on 12 April 2011, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov expressed his condolences to Belarusian leader Aleksander Lukashenko in connection with terrorism act at Minsk underground.

The telegram said: “feeling of deep sorrow, we received information about inhuman terrorism act at underground station “Oktyabrskaya” in Minks, which caused large number of causalities among innocent people.”

“I convey my sincere condolences and ask you to delivery my words of sympathy to relatives and friends of victims,” the letter added.
