The Uzbek delegation visited Yuzhniy Mashinastroitelniy Zavod and got acquainted with production of trams at the enterprise.

The Uzbek side noted the high level production and conformability of trams, as well as their opportunity to work in difficult conditions.

Trade representative of Uzbekistan in Ukraine Batir Yusupov said Uzbekistan is interested in cooperation with Dnepropetrosvk region in production of electric transport.

As earlier reported, Uzbekistan plans to purchase 20 trams for Tashkent in 2009-2010.

Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Dnepropetrosvk region made up US$26 million in January-September 2009. The Ukraine’s region exported goods to Uzbekistan for US$18.6 million and imported for US$7.4 million.
