Jahon news agency reported that the presentation of textile industry was organized within the exhibition at the assistance of Italy-Uzbekistan Commerce Chamber.

The presentation was attended by representatives of the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT), Italy-Uzbekistan Commerce Chamber, heads of 16 Italian enterprises, producing modern textile equipment.

During the event, the Uzbek delegation informed the participants on role of light industry in social-economic development of Uzbekistan, growth of textile industry, guarantees and preferences for foreign investors, investment climate, etc.

Sandro Salmoiraghi, ACIMIT President, said that the Italian side express great interest to the event, especially large Italian producers.

He said that the growth of Uzbek economy in difficult time allows to speak about perspective of further expanding bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

Salmoiraghi said that the delegation of Uzbekistan will give new impulse for mutual beneficial economic cooperation taking into account opportunity of Italian side will supply new technologies and equipment.

Luigi Iperti, President of Italy-Uzbekistan Commerce Chamber, in his speed focused on leading position of Uzbekistan in production and export of cotton, and improvement of cotton qualities. He said that soon the Italian delegation will pay visit to Uzbekistan to participate in cooperation exchange and hold bilateral talks with the Uzbek partners to discuss cooperation issues and joint projects.

Representatives of Italian companies underlined that Uzbekistan created reliable legal base for operation of foreign companies. They were impressed with the support of the Uzbek government to investment projects, directed at development of textile sector.

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation held bilateral talks at Milan Exporters Consortium, Italy Fashion System Industrialists Association, and with textile enterprises.

After the presentation, Uzbekyengilsanoat state joint stock company signed memorandums of cooperation with the ACIMIT and Italy-Uzbekistan Commerce Chamber.

During the visit, the delegation familiarized with production capacities of the region to learn their experience for further implementation of them in Uzbekistan.

In the result of the meetings, the agreement with Crespi was achieved on creation of the joint venture on production of textile accessories and supply ready products from Uzbekistan to Italy.
