Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A delegation from Uzbekistan, including representatives from the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Digital Technologies, took part in the WeProtect Global Alliance Summit held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the Dunyo news agency reports.

The event brought together around 300 delegates, including ministers of internal affairs, social protection, and digital technologies from over ten countries, as well as representatives from the private sector and civil society organizations.

The opening ceremony featured speeches by UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, founder and board member of WeProtect Global Alliance Joanna Shields, UAE Children’s Parliament President Ghaia Al Ahbabi, and UNICEF youth specialist Sheikh Humaid Al Qasimi.

The two-day summit agenda included discussions, round tables, lectures, and bilateral meetings focusing on protecting children from various forms of violence, analyzing new trends and their impact on younger generations, leveraging artificial intelligence technologies for their safety, and enhancing cooperation between government bodies, NGOs, and international partners.

Participants were also invited to attend the global conference "Path to Sustainable Development through Social Protection," scheduled for next year in Samarkand.

The Uzbek delegation actively participated in discussions, held meetings with colleagues from other countries, and exchanged views. Agreements were reached on cooperation, experience sharing, information exchange, and the implementation of joint projects during the summit.
