Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 September 2024, inter-ministerial consultations on the theme "Coordination of Positions of CIS Member States on the Agenda of the 79th UN General Assembly Session" were held in Moscow.
Representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as from the CIS Executive Committee, participated in the consultations, according to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The main focus was on coordinating the positions of CIS member states, their priorities, and initiatives for the upcoming UN General Assembly session, implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and mutual support for candidacies for elections to UN bodies with limited membership.
The consultations were constructive and confirmed the CIS states’ commitment to further deepening cooperation on a wide range of issues. The participants agreed to continue the practice of inter-ministerial consultations on this topic.
