Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 27 July 2023, a meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov and the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Akihiro Tanaka.

During the meeting, the agency’s contribution to the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan and its close cooperation within the framework of the Official Development Assistance program were highly appreciated.

Constructive and meaningful negotiations covered a wide range of bilateral cooperation, including projects implemented with the support of JICA, and initiatives in the priority areas of relations - energy, technology, horticulture, healthcare, education and public administration.

During the dialogue, special attention was paid to cooperation in the field of training specialists, projects in the field of small and medium-sized businesses.

The JICA leadership emphasized its support for strategic cooperation with Uzbekistan and expressed its readiness to participate in the implementation of new investment projects implemented by Uzbek and Japanese companies.
