Uzbek dance fascinates Valencia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan presented its national dance school at International Festival of Music and Traditional Dance in Valencia (Spain), Fund Forum’s press service said.

Uzbek band “Sabo” presented its bright and original dances at the gala concert of the festival and they delighted Spanish public.

The participation of Sabo at the festival was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain and Fund Forum Office in Madrid. Within the festival, the presentation of Fund Forum and book “Fund Forum presents Uzbekistan” was held.

International Festival of Music and Traditional Dance has been held each summer in Valencia since 2000 and it is attended by groups around the world. The festival takes place at central square of Valencia Plaza de la Virgen.

Sabo is popular in Uzbekistan. The group was founded in 2003 and it includes three dance schools – Ferghana, Bukhara and Khorezm. The group performs dances of various regions. Each dance is a small show with bright decorations and colorful costumes.

Dances of Sabo in Valencia were welcome with applauses and cheers. Spanish audience watched Ferghana, Bukhara, Tashkent, Surkhandarya, Khorezm and Karakalpakstan dances with great interest.

The Uzbek side presented national Bukhara robe and a copy of book “Fund Forum presents Uzbekistan” to the President of Festival Manuel Navalon. He said that Spanish audience was impressed with dances of the Uzbek group. He said that Uzbek dance is very rich and diverse.
