Uzbek customs officials visit Nijniy Novgorod
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan State Customs Committee visited Nijniy Novgorod (Russia) to hold consultative meeting with management of Privoljiye Customs Department.

One of the main aims of the meeting was to acquaint with detailed familiarization with current state of the Russian Customs Services. The Uzbek guests got acquainted with modern methods of operative control of customs registration, including with use of mobile inspection complexes.

The Russian side also demonstrated modern systems of electronic declarations and perspectives of development of declaring via Internet.

Privoljiye region is closely cooperating with Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan exports large volume of fruit and vegetable products. About 159,000 tonnes of total of 210,000 fruits and vegetables, imported from Russia to Uzbekistan, were registered by Privoljiye Customs Department.

Uzbekistan exports melons, water-melons, cabbage, tomato, grapes, apricots, etc. Currently, 9 of ten melons imported to Privoljiye region are from Uzbekistan.
