Customs officers of Rinjit customs post in Namangan region detained 1,440 units of leather products for 19 million soums. Citizens of Uzbekistan tried to import leather products to neighbouring states in two trucks.

Officers of customs body in Namangan region in cooperation with other law enforcement bodies arrested a person, who was heading on Zil truck to neighboring state. During inspection of truck, 890 units of leather products for 16 million soums were found. The products belonged to Uzbek citizen T. Turdiev and he planned to sell smuggled goods in Kazakhstan.

Investigations are underway within these cases.
