Uzbek Communication Committee discuss development of e-government
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Committee for communication, information and telecommunication technologies of Uzbekistan held a session of its board, the press service of the committee said.

The session discussed development of electronic government in Uzbekistan in line with the decisions of the President of Uzbekistan and Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan on speeding up development of electronic government in Uzbekistan.

In line with the document, it is planned to adopt a complex programme on formation of electronic government by 1 April 2013 and a complex programme on development of national information-communication systems in Uzbekistan for 2013-2017 based on advanced experience of the Republic of Korea and other countries.

At the meeting the drafts of the concept and complex programme on formation of electronic government in Uzbekistan for 2013-2017 were presented. The documents determine main directions of development of e-government in Uzbekistan based on current state and directions of interaction of state bodies with population, businesses and other organizations. The documents also include indicators and figures on assessment of conducted work in development of the e-government.

In order to improve efficiency of introduction of e-government system, standard form of regulation on rendering state services were developed. The document formalizes internal processes of rendering state services by the state bodies.

The measures were adopted to accumulate proposals and recommendations of the state bodies on development of the e-government.

It is planned to develop project documents and determine expenses on measures directed at preparation and introduction of e-government system, assessment system on quality of rendered services, etc.
