Uzbek Citizen and Her Daughter Repatriated from Türkiye
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An Uzbek citizen, F.Y., who was working in Türkiye, found herself in a difficult situation due to a serious illness, Dunyo news agency reports.
Following her appeal to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, the fate of F.Y. and her 12-year-old daughter, D.Y., came under the continuous supervision of the Consulate General and the Representation of the Migration Agency in Türkiye.
Initially, plane tickets for the Istanbul–Fergana route were purchased, but their return had to be postponed due to F.Y. sustaining a leg fracture. After her condition stabilized, she successfully underwent surgery and received a prosthesis.
The authorities also took into account her severe financial hardship and the fact that she had been unable to work for the past three months. Additionally, it was noted that her daughter required special support due to speech impairments.
Through the initiative of the Consulate General and with the support of the “Society for Culture, Solidarity and Cooperation of Uzbekistan,” the representation of Uzbekistan Airways in Türkiye, and several diaspora organizations, F.Y. and her daughter were repatriated to Uzbekistan on 10 November.
Currently, their treatment and rehabilitation continue under the guidance of the Agency for Social Protection, the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs, and local authorities.
