Chinese envoy said the volume of Uzbekistan’s export to Chine reached US$249 million in the first half of 2010, or rose by 6.1% year-on-year. He said this serves as evidence for that bilateral trade structure became more rational and balanced.
Yu Hongjun said investment cooperation is expanding gradually and more Chinese enterprises express interest to Uzbek market and hope to invest and create enterprises in Uzbekistan.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and China reached US$1.9 billion in 2009, which is up 18.9% year-on-year. Exports of Uzbekistan made up about US$489 million and imports – US$1.56 billion.
