Uzbek businesses pay visit to Turkey
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During 8-10 October with the support of a joint project of Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade and UNDP in Uzbekistan "Support to Foreign Trade and Investment Promotion in Uzbekistan", Namangan’s representatives of footwear industry visited Turkey to learn experience of footwear production and trade.

The purpose of the visit was not only to learn the best practice in production and sale of footwear, but also to identify advanced technologies for use in local footwear production.

During the trip entrepreneurs visited Footwear Industrialists Association of Turkey (TASD) and several footwear production factories. The Uzbek footwear producers got acquainted with experience and technological process, and held discussions on possible ways of cooperation.

Getting acquainted with Turkey’s long time experience, which is recognized as one of the leading countries in the world for the production of footwear, was very beneficial for the Uzbek entrepreneurs.

“In creating a new shoe model it is very important to take into account desires and preferences of consumers,” said Anvarjon Hodjimirzaev, specialist of “Dambog Poyabzalsavdo” – In fact high-quality and stylish footwear speak well of a person”.

It should be noted that modern buyers are very delicate and demanding in their taste and preferences. Therefore, high-quality products are better positioned to find their buyers in foreign and domestic markets. Competition in both markets sets out the lead. In order to produce marketable products, producers are required to innovate, use international experience, and most importantly, regularly analyze market.

“Frankly speaking, the trip to Turkey was very useful for me” - joins the conversation Adham Abbasitdinov, “When I was watching the process of refining skin by our Turkish colleagues it became evident that we need to drastically improve our skin production process. And of course after arrival from the trip, we immediately started to think of ways to improve the work.”

Namangan footwear producers’ trip to Turkey took place in a spirit of sharing experiences. Based on the trip result and knowledge gathered, entrepreneurs begun to prepare a draft business plan for the purchase of the latest footwear equipment.
