Uzbek bodies, ACCA sign a memorandum of understanding

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Chamber of auditors of Uzbekistan, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Association of chartered certified accountants (ACCA, UK).

As part of the implementation of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan" On additional measures for the transition to international financial reporting standards " dated February 24, 2020, no. PP-4611, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Chamber of auditors of Uzbekistan, signed a Memorandum of understanding with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) implementation of a modern system of training and professional certification in accordance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

The main purpose of signing the Memorandum is to promote the implementation of international educational standards for training qualified personnel in the field of IFRS.

The main directions of implementation of joint activities include:

training of specialists for certification exam "Financial reporting according to IFRS" under the ACCA diploma in "Finance and business Management" examination and the "Diploma in international financial reporting (ACCA DipIFR)";

passing international accreditation of educational programs in the disciplines "Accounting" and "Audit" pilot higher education institutions (the Tashkent state economic University, Tashkent financial Institute, Samarkand Institute of Economics and service, Fergana Polytechnic Institute);

conducting training for teachers on IFRS through the involvement of ACCA partners;

in the future, the development of documents for the implementation of the exam program in Uzbek as part of the ACCA diploma "Finance and Business Management" in Uzbekistan.

The Memorandum of understanding, which includes a Roadmap for the implementation of a modern system of training and professional certification in accordance with international financial reporting standards, expands the opportunities for international cooperation and the introduction of modern methods of training in the field of IFRS.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) was founded in 1904 and incorporated in the Royal Charter in 1974. in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, ACCA is an international organization in the field of finance and accounting, uniting professional accountants 503,000 students (candidates), and 208,000 members in 179 countries.
