Uzbek envoy said in interview to Day.Az the countries have common view on many regional and international affairs and closely cooperate within the international organizations, like the UN.
He added that cooperation between two states is intensively developing in political, trade-economic, scientific0technical, social-cultural spheres.
According to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan made up US$23.6 million in January-June 2009 or decreased from US$27.7 million in the same period of 2008.
Uzbekistan’s exports to Azerbaijan fell from US$20.8 million in January-June 2008 to US$17.6 million in the same period of 2009. Imports of Uzbekistan from Azerbaijan decreased from US$6.9 million in the first half of 2008 to US$6 million in the first six months of 2009.
