Uzbek athletes win 836 medals in 2016
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Athletes of Uzbekistan clinched 836 medals in 2016, the Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan.
According to the Uzbek Ministry, athletes from Uzbekistan took part in 248 international tournaments on Olympic and national sports in 2016.
Athletes from Uzbekistan won 302 gold, 270 silver and 264 bronze awards.
In particular, Uzbek athletes won 13 medals (4 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze) of Olympic Games and 31 medals of Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
