Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Athletes from Uzbekistan completed their participation in the WKF Youth League karate tournament with 11 medals.

According to the National Olympic Committee, on the final day of the tournament, Javohir Jakhongirov rose to the highest step of the podium among boys under 14 years old (kata program). Also, another representative of Uzbekistan, Solijon Soibov (-50 kg), won a bronze medal.

In addition to the Youth League medals, Uzbek karatekas added valuable ranking points to their assets on the way to the World Championship.

Earlier Dilafruz Kuzieva climbed to the podium. Competing among athletes 16-17 years old in the weight -53 kg in kumite, she successfully made it to the finals. However, in the decisive match, the Uzbek karateka missed the chance and was awarded a silver medal.
