Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek agricultural producers and food manufacturers signed export contracts worth US$3 million during the international exhibition “Made in Uzbekistan,” held in Tbilisi from 5 to 7 June, according to the newspaper Yangi Uzbekistan.

The official opening ceremony was attended by representatives of Georgian government agencies, as well as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan and Georgia, Bahrom Ashrafkhanov.

The exhibition showcased a wide array of products from leading Uzbek companies, including Agro Star, known for its fresh and dried fruit exports, and Sabe, a producer of traditional Uzbek ice cream.

Visitors showed strong interest, taking part in tastings and exploring traditional Uzbek dishes, sweets, and spices.

The event was organized by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The signed agreements and ongoing negotiations with major Georgian retail chains open up broad opportunities to expand the supply of Uzbek products to the South Caucasus region.
