Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, a post under the heading “Kancha “Spark” kerak?” (How many Spark cars do you need) was widely distributed on the social media with photos of Chevrolet Spark cars at the Loading and Shipping Terminal in Angren.

The press service of UzAuto Motors issued a statement to comment the situation. The company officially announced that on 20 August, UzAuto Motors was forced to cease production of Chevrolet Spark cars in 2022. This decision was due to the global decision of General Motors (USA) to stop the production of these cars and components for them from August this year.

Due to the increased demand for this car model, UzAuto Motors, in addition to batches produced from the remnants of components, decided to redirect export Chevrolet Spark cars to the domestic market.

The contracting of these car models started on 20 August, on the first day of which the entire volume of available products was contracted: a total of 12.6 thousand cars, of which 8.2 thousand Spark and 4.4 thousand Nexia.

At the moment, cars are being distributed to all dealerships. The cars shown in the photo have already been contracted by customers and have been delivered to the Angren Loading and Shipping Terminal for further delivery to customers.

In the near future, a similar distribution will also apply to Chevrolet Nexia cars, which will also be shipped for further distribution in the city of Angren.

The loading and unloading terminal in the city of Angren is a structural subdivision of UzAuto Motors, designed for transit storage of vehicles before their distribution to dealerships west of the Kamchik pass.
