Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- UzAuto Motors has officially ended the production of the Chevrolet Lacetti model.

The company’s press service confirmed that the last car of this model rolled off the assembly line at the Asaka plant, marking the 487,104th car in the model’s history. This vehicle will be remembered as the final Lacetti (or Gentra) in the company’s production lineup.

Production of the Chevrolet Lacetti at UzAuto Motors began in 2013. In its initial years, the output was 11,222 cars per year, but by 2023, production had reached a record 89,565 cars.

In December 2022, UzAuto Motors announced the end of the Chevrolet Lacetti’s life cycle by the end of 2023.

Despite this announcement, production continued, and in May it was reported that the company had the necessary parts and components. However, as noted by the company, the production of these components ceased in January 2024.
