UzACI, Olive Telecom holds negotiations in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation led by Mr Arun Khanna, Chairman of Olive Telecom (India), held negotiations at the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) on 10 August 2011, the press service of the agency said.

The Indian delegation arrived in Uzbekistan to realize memorandum of understanding between Uzbektelecom joint stock company and Olive Telecom, which was signed during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to India on 17-19 May 2011.

Olive Telecom is one of leading developers and suppliers of mobile devices to India, Indonesia and other developing states. The company was founded in 2006 and has offices in 23 countries. The company sold over 20 million mobile devices worldwide.

During the meeting, the sides discussed organization of joint activity between Uzbektelecom and Olive Telecom. The sides exchanged opinion on implementation of memorandum and set plans for future work.

Indian side received detailed information on investment climate, legal guarantees, preferences for foreign investors in Uzbekistan, including at Navoi free industrial and economic zone. The Uzbek side supported activity of Olive Telecom in Uzbekistan.

During the visit to Uzbekistan, the delegation visited Navoi free industrial and economic zone and familiarized with conditions created for opening joint activity.
