Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) and Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) launched a joint project "Consultations on CERT policy", the web site of the Uzbek agency said.
The agency said the Association of IT companies and organizations of Uzbekistan will be implementing partner from the Uzbek side.
The KISDI experts’ group visited Uzbekistan from 25 May to 1 June and started the first phase of the project. The Korean specialists acquainted with conditions and perspectives of development of information and communication technologies in Uzbekistan, work of national CERT and set direct contracts with IT firms and companies.
The Korean delegation visited Centre for Scientific-Technical and Marketing Researches, Uzinfocom, Uzbektelecom, UzNet, Sarkor Telecom, East Telecom and others.
The joint project envisages that Korean side will provide recommendations to optimization of national team on response to computer incidents and information security policy in the Central Asian country. The Uzbek specialists will have opportunity to improve their skills in Korea.
On 1 June, Deputy director-general of the UzACI, Asad Khodjaev, received a delegation of KISDI. The Korean delegation informed Uzbek official on the visit to Uzbekistan and noted high level of ICT in Uzbekistan.
