This was a courtesy visit of Mr. Tikhonov, who has been recently appointed to the post of the president of Alcatel-Lucent for CIS states.

During the meeting, Mr. Tikhonov acquainted with the development of telecommunication and information technologies in Uzbekistan, as well as plans for further development. The sides exchanged opinion on perspective directions of development of ICT sphere.

The guests highly valued the work on introduction of new telecommunication technologies in Uzbekistan. They also noted that Alcatel-Lucent successfully works in Uzbekistan’s telecommunication market and expressed interest to develop cooperation with local communication operators.
