Uz-Daewoo dealers’ network expands in Russia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uz-Daewoo, official dealer of GM Uzbekistan in Russia, continued to expand dealers’ network and promotion in the Russian regions and the CIS states in 2009.

The company also introduced single corporate standards and opened Uz-Daewoo Academy and subsidized crediting Uz-Daewoo Fin22ance.

Uz-Daewoo launched budget version of Nexia and Matiz models in August 2009. It also increased warranty term to 3 years or 100,000 km run in September. The company said it raised car sales by 57% in January 2010.63

Share of Uz-Daewoo in Russia in 2009 made up 3.5% (51,414 cars). The sales doubled in December compared to January. The highest sales volumes were recorded in Central Chernozemye, Severo-Zapadniy region, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and south of Russia.

Credit sales of Uz-Daewoo in Russian market rose almost three times in a year and made up about 20%. The company plans to increase it to 25% in 2010.

Uz-Daewoo has the largest sales share in Kazakhstan (7.2%), Belarus (2.8%) and Ukraine (1.5%) in export markets. Uz-Daewoo plans to sell 65,000 cars in Russia and CIS states in 2010.

Tohir Jalilov, managing director of GM Uzbekistan, said the main strategic task for 2010 is integration of several programmes into one complex on quality customer serving. This is corporate sales from Uz-Daewoo Leasing, subsidized automobile crediting from Uz-Daewoo Finance and certification of specialists at Uz-Daewoo Academy.
