Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A new rector has been appointed to the Imam Bukhari Tashkent Islamic Institute.

Uygun Gafurov has been appointed as rector of the Imam Bukhari Tashkent Islamic Institute. Prior to this, he held the position of rector at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

Muhammadalim Muhammad Siddikov has been appointed deputy chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan for youth affairs. He previously served as rector of the Imam Bukhari Tashkent Islamic Institute.
