Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A train with the first US non-military cargo bound for Afghanistan has passed via Kazakhstan’s territory and is now in Uzbekistan, a source at the press service of the national Kazakh railway company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) told the Interfax-Kazakhstan news agency.
"The train with the US non-military cargo bound for Afghanistan crossed the Kazakh-Uzbek border at 1040 (Astana time) today," the source said.
Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan allowed transit of the US non-military cargo for coalition forces in Afghanistan in February this year.
