Denis Istomin outplayed the 20th seeded of the tournament Andrea Seppi in five sets in the third round – 6/3, 6/4, 2/6, 3/6 and 6/1.

The match lasted 3 hours and five minutes. Denis Istomin broke his opponent six times and gave five of his games to Seppi. At the same time, the Uzbek ace served 24 aces and recorded six double faults. He also registered 57 unforced errors.
