“The year 2011 marked the twentieth anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. In those twenty years Uzbekistan made great strides to strengthen its independence and stability. I am sure this process will continue next year and beyond. Once again, allow me to wish all citizens happy twentieth anniversary!

“Next year we will celebrate twenty years of diplomatic relations between our countries. Those years also witnessed great achievements in strengthening and widening our relationship. In the past year alone we have seen a deepening of our ties in increased contacts between our leaders and our peoples. We have expanded our constructive engagement into trade, economic, political, social , health, governance and regional security fields. It is my embassy's task to keep up and quicken that positive momentum next year and the years beyond”, the US envoy said.
