The rate of the US dollar decreased by 27.88 soums - up to 7,997.9 soums. It should noted that for the first time the rate of the US dollar to the Uzbek soums fell below 8,000 soums from the beginning of currency liberalization.

At the same time, the euro rate fell by 200.5 soums. As of 22 May 2018, the euro exchange rate to the Uzbek soums set at 9,396.79 soums.

Currency exchange rates are set by the Central Bank weekly for accounting, statistical and other reporting on currency transactions, as well as the calculation of customs and other mandatory payments.
