Christopher Murphy arrived in Tashkent to participate at the international conference "Fostering a Well Educated and Intellectually Advanced Generation – Critical Prerequisite for Sustainable Development and Modernization of Country".

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that Murphy shared his impressions from visit to Uzbekistan and said he is impressed with changes in education sector in last 20 years.

Murphy noted that he was impressed with interest o youth to education and art, and history of the country.

At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of interaction between information-resource centers, research institutes of Uzbekistan with the structures of the US Congress Library.
