The message reads: “On behalf of the people of the United States of America, I would like to congratulate the people of Uzbekistan on the 20th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence”.

“While the people of Uzbekistan enjoy an ancient history and rich cultural heritage, the state of Uzbekistan is young and still evolving from its emergence on the world scene 20 years ago. During the past 20 years, Uzbekistan has achieved much in consolidating its statehood, its society and its economy as a sovereign, independent republic. The people of Uzbekistan are developing their own national values based on their ancient history, customs and traditions of intellectual excellence, hard work and social tolerance”, the message added.

“The United States of America continues to support the people of Uzbekistan in our common quest for freedom, prosperity and democracy”, the message said.

US envoy said: “I join all Americans in saluting the achievements of the people of Uzbekistan and wish the people of Uzbekistan continued peace, prosperity and happiness. Happy Independence Day!”
